Oslo is not very popular among other than native Oslo people. "The tiger city" - Tigerstaden is a nickname for it by the author Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. He described it as a dangerous and unmerciful (if that makes any sense in English) city, so I guess it is. But don't be afraid, Oslo is quite peaceful, it just might not be very beatiful, and like any other metropol, it is a bit unpersonal, although it might be really nice. I enjoy just walking in the streets of Frogner at night (like natt, not kveld, if you know those words) in summer time.
You should definitely take a closer look at Oslo. Most things are in the city center, but we've also got Marka - the Woods north, north-west and east of the city. And the islands in the Oslofjord. And Bygdøy. So there are some nature sights, too, although it may not be as special or "Norwegian" as in Rauland.
The Viking ship museum might also be interesting. (Why in the world do the English write Vikings with big V? Strange ...)
Top-tip: The north-east is most offices, aparment buildings and residential buildings, with nothing exiting at all, as far as I know.
The places to go is probably easy to find, if you don't know anyone on forehand.
By the way, have you listened to the band E-76? And Nystogs, Odd Nordstoga, Ingebjørg Bratland, Ni liv, Byting? They are some bands/artists from your area. One of the text writers in E-76 come from Rauland, and the others live not far away.
I guess I made some English mistakes, but I think this text should be readable. :-)
And perhaps there were somethings in this text that was really uninteresting. If that's so: sorry. But thanks for the nice blog and to this point nice vlog. -
OMG Budapest is one of my fave cities! Let me know if you need tips (if you're still there). Oslo looks so cute at Christmas. Hope tomorrow is a better day!! ^L

Wow I can't believe how much you packed into a day - three countries, a Christmas market, two flights and a bus journey. And time to buy a few things. Hope Budapest is less rainy and very Christmassy, looking forward to seeing it!

On the 7th day of Vlogmas I traveled from Rauland to Budapest, spending a few hours at the Christmas market in Oslo!
