A tremendous performance. I am looking forward to this orchestra visiting Manchester this year. Great horn section, woodwind and rich shimmering strings in this piece, beautifully conducted.

A very fine video of the Sibelius Sym. #5. At the time,1915, considered one of the great symphonies of the 20th century. The final movement a profound telling of the composers mind at that time. A one of a kind for musicians as well as the listener. Very well recorded for 2008. Saraste his usual laid back conductor. Oslo Philharmonic looking like they love every note. Great stuff!
