was lost?? it was sunk by our cannons at oscarsborg festning, moron

The same fate should meet Schleswig-Holstein to beginn of the german invasion to the Poland.
In memory of the polish soldiers! -
In memory of the cruiser's crew and the fallen soldiers on Oscarsborg.
-
Politics aside, the Hipper calls heavy cruisers were some of the most beautiful ships launched.
The Norwegian guns fired one shot each, the crews not having been trained on how to reload. The torpedoes, however, were immediately reloaded. -
I guess this is was the nazi's get for their arrogance and underestimating the power of their shore batteries. The torpedoes were a major shock for the KM as only the Norwegians knew about them. Both types of weapons were old, but they were up to the task of blasting that warship to the bottom of the fjord. At least I think so.

ou can't say they were dying for nothing when they were invading another country -_- but still we helped most of the soldiers who survived then after got handed back to the germans
-
well you have a very good point there! german ships where made to stay afloat no matter what, but it was shot at with cannons, possibuly torpedoes as well.
-
sunk by german cannons actually, they where made in germany at 1880 or around that time.

The two 28 cm krupp cannons from the main battery fired at Blücher at a range of 1400 meters. And immidiantlay after that, the Kopås and Husvik battery with started to fire at the ship. They fired about 30-50 shell that hit it mid-ship. And the shells fired from Oscarsborgs main battery and from the Husvik and Kopås battery caused fire that ignited the fuel and ammo on the ship. And when Blücher came into the line of sight of the torpedo battery, two whitehead-torpedoes was fired.

The British would not. They were one of our closest allies in the war. It was the british who landed troops on norwegian ground to try to repel the germans.

if the Germans had not attacked Norway, the British would have and tried, too. so what's the difference? A peaceful country was or would have been invaded.

By the way, the cannons that sank the Blücher were made by Krupp.

Commissioned shortly after outbreak of war in 1939, the heavy cruiser Blücher was lost in first mission - occupation of norway in April 1940. To this day, the wreck is laying on the bottom of Oslofjord in 90 meters depth.
History learns us there are meny sides to a story, and this is one of thise storys that has meny sides to it.
