On Friday 27 September the new Disney movie Planes will be released in Scandinavia, in close cooperation with SAS Scandinavian Airlines as distribution partner. Here's a glimpse of the Boeing 737 aircraft which has been painted with popular characters from the movie such as Dusty, El Chpacabra and Rochelle. The aircraft is a Boeing 737-800 registered as LN-RCY. It is formally registered in Norway but will operate on routes throughout Scandinavia and Europe until May 2014. It took eight people ten hours to get the stripe in place in a hangar at Oslo Gardermoen airport during the night between Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday 24 September at 11 am the plane will make its maiden flight from Oslo to Copenhagen and is later scheduled to arrive at Stockholm Arlanda airport at 4 pm.
