I don't understand how Israel could claim that the Tromsø organizers are denying visa requests. A private organisation has no power over who gets granted visa in Norway. Rule of law applies, Norway does not have a dictator king or anything like that

No, Israel, they are not anti-FIDE. They are just following rules and regulations -- rules and regulations that FIDE made. So deal with it, and stop complaining. And good thing too if you see it as anti-Kirsan. The world of chess has had enough of that incompetent fool. At least with Garry we can be certain we will have someone who gives a crap about the game. And cancel the olympiad? Why? FIDE is filled to the brim with incompetent people right now and you are not doing anything to help this impression.
