When she says "development of the hands" I take it as meaning creating or manifesting her ideas in physical space. Weather that be music, poetry, film.. what have you. Any one else have an idea on this?

Such raw rock energy in a female musician (who used to be sexy at the same time) is almost unseen and unheard ever since. Her first 4 albums are legendary - rock history. And contrary to much of what punk did, they still stand strong.

white people, I swear, they can absolutely suck, and people will be like...Wow...tthats so real...and raw and full of energy and light...its so, ya know F*** the MAN....yeah lets ask her , her view about life...while shes in a drugged stupor.. Id like to be standing between her and lennon rambling about "life" and peace" and blowing weed into the air...like they matter...they dont even have to know how to sing...

"Bob Dylan's a sexy guy." Sure thing, Patti <3

Wow, her words were always so profound! Especially her ideas about freedom and dogma and rules. I also really like, that you really know she puts so much thought into what she is saying, that she stumbles on her words. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Very encouraging.

That's live music.
Great Patti. -
Buongiorno.

This is from '76? Total rasta surf punk. This tells how to
do that rasta pivot. Blondie picked up on this but it was later.
I guess Patti's a true woman but I wonder about her and joan jett.
And the Dollyrots and the Ramones for that matter.
This spans a lot of generations. Surf punk. Total whack I love it
the way her band just hits this guitar and drum jive so hard. -
Patti's really good in this vid because she explains a lot of it.
And then her av totally slays. Janis was good but... -
Horses! Teragram's full this time but maybe see her sometime.
-
The intro with her speaking: God she is one cool/sexy mother fucker. I don't know much of her music, not a huge fan of what I know (her cover of Rock n Roll Star is really good though), but her personality is really endearing.

Rising from the New York punk movement of the 70’s, Patti Smith is an influential singer and musician known for combining spoken word poetry with primal garage rock. By 1976, she had released her debut Horses and the more raw-sounding Radio Ethiopia. Her October 3rd, 1976 concert at The Konserthuset in Stockholm, Sweden was filmed and recorded for broadcast, documenting this early stage in her career. Prior to the internet, the audio portion had been circulated among fans with the bootleg title, ‘I Never Talked To Bob Dylan,’ a slight reference to the short interview that accompanied the performance. Smith’s influence by The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed is well represented with the covers ‘Real Good Time Together’ and ‘Pale Blue Eyes’. Actually, there are quite a few cover songs here including the classics 'Louie Louie,' 'Gloria,' and the Smith original 'Land' which includes yet another rock classic, 'Land Of 1,000 Dances.' Patti's version of The Rolling Stone's 'Time Is On My Side' is prefaced by her own spoken-word piece. ‘Ask The Angels’ and ‘Land’ stand out as highlights of this show as well as a representation of the performances that inspired Gilda Radner’s Candy Slice character on SNL in the 70’s.
