In December 2012, the biannual meeting of the Norwegian Herpetological Association took place at the Reptile Park here in Oslo. It's so cool to be there after opening hours. :-) I was of course at the meeting - in fact I did a little presentation of the Galápagos Islands, showing photos from my trip there in the spring - and of course seized the opportunity of getting some video of the many interesting animals the Park keeps. This video shows the panther chameleon, Furcifer pardalis, one of the many species of chameleon found on the island of Madagascar. A beautiful and colorful creature ... apparently with an itchy butt. :-D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panther_chameleon The Park is within easy walking distance of downtown Oslo and is well worth a visit if you ever get the chance. http://www.reptilpark.no/ http://www.herpetologisk.com/
