@mymusic777ify Surely this applies to EVERY man in Norway, hmmm? -___-

jeg savner norge...:(

norwegian men have no respect for women! where as for england it is common nowledge and courtesy to give up your seat or move out of the way for women, say sorry or excuse me,or take up as little space as possible going on the public transportation.but in norway men do the opposite! they expect women do these things for the men!!! and if they don't you are sure to get a mouthful of angry comments! the system is all backwards they have no manners whatsoever!!!

Yeah i definitly reccomend you goinging there. No we are not a racist country. Of course we have some but ALL countries in the world have that. You should visit Oslo. Yeah we are a multicultural country we have people from ALL countries here including everyone in Africa. Welcome to Oslo !
-
yea, everybody can visit, we dont care what place you are from, its all the same to us, we would be glad for the visit :)
-
Sounds like a good plan! ;) Best of luck =)

Ha ha, we can't escape for long. ;) Yeah, Norwegian people in general are very good speakers of English but I want to learn the language to a much higher level than i do now before heading over, I'd actually like to be a teacher of either English to adult learners, or of Norwegian to other immigrants, so I will (hopefully) be doing a degree next year in Scandinavian Studies and Linguistics. I plan on learning other languages as well though but we'll have to see what transpires. :)

Well, you're more than welcome =) It's always nice to see emmigrants return a few generations later;) Oslo is indeed a safe city. I guess that is an advantage I don't even notice because I'm so used to it ;) Also, don't worry too much about learning Norwegian before you come here. As you maybe know, most Norwegians speak English well.

Cheers, but I have a long way to go! I'm actually half Norwegian and picked up some Norwegian when I visit family and I feel more at home in Norway than here in Scotland! I much prefer Norway to Scotland in so many respects and getting out of Glasgow would be great, we have a higher crime and murder rate than New York!

Heh, funny you'd bring un New Zealand. Many who have seen both countries, compare them to each other ;)

Looks like Sweden...? Sweden is right east of Norway... The climate is exactly the same. The Gulf Stream keeps Norway relatively warm. In Oslo, the temperature rarely drops below -5 in the winter, and rarely reach more than 30 in the summer.

forzARIS: That depends what your cup of tea is:P Norwegian women are generally tall, some are blond. They have heavier bone structure than most southern european girls, but probably more beautiful faces. The "scientific" explanation for this is that the vikings took the most beautiful women of the countries they attacked, as slaves, and bought them back to Norway. There they "mated" :-P Believe the theory or not, I suggest you come and find out for yourself;)

Your Norwegian is great, but I can't see why you learnt such a useless language :P Honoured that you want to live here too, of course, but I can't see why. There is nothing great about Norway =(
