This video disingenuously leaves out 4 contributing factors leading to Palestinian violence that occurred after Oslo. ## (1) Baruch Goldstein's 1994 attack on unarmed Muslims praying at the mosque at the Cave Of The Patriarchs. 29 people were killed and another 125 wounded. This became known as the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre. While this event happened before Oslo, it unavoidably affected violence in the future. ## (2) Israeli PM and leader of the peace process Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in 1995 by a Jewish extremist who opposed to the Oslo peace process. Benjamin Netanyahu replaced Rabin as PM and immediately took steps to undermine and stop Oslo. In fact, he takes personal credit for stopping Oslo in this youtube video: Israeli PM Netanyahu: I "stopped" Oslo peace process - ENGLISH SUBTITLES  Under Netanyahu, the settlements' population in the West Bank almost doubled. This was a clear signal to Palestinian leaders that the peace process would NOT be allowed to go forward. Netanyahu did his damage and faded from the political scene, but he would be back. ## (3) Subsequently, under PM Ehud Barak, Israel made a peace proposal at Camp David in 2000 that offered 95 percent of West Bank land, but NO control of any water resources in the West Bank. Israel would permanently control all water and ration it at approximately 80 percent to Israel and 20 percent to the Palestinian state. This control could be modified at will, so Israel could effectively control the Palestinians by strangling them for water. The land offered was also cut into many seperate cantons by numerous Israeli-controlled "security roads". This would NOT produce a viable Palestinian state, and Arafat rightly turned it down. In the next Israeli election, Labor party lost to opposition party Likud, -led by Ariel Sharon. ## (4) To get elected and secure support, Sharon used campaign devices designed to shore-up his base by intentionally damaging the peace process. The worst example of this was Sharon's intentionally provocative and highly incendiary trip to the Temple Mount with a ridiculously large and well armed security attachment. In following days, this visit resulted in riots which IDF and Israeli police put down with live fire, killing many Palestinians who became known as the al Aqsa Martyrs. THIS is the point is when Palestinian resistance violence measurably escalated, much of it perpetrated by a group called the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. Citation of the Palestinian violence without this formative context cannot be an oversight, it rightly constitutes Zionist propaganda. Subsequent to this intafaida, an independent investigation produced the Mitchell Report, which included this text blaming Israel for refusing to stop settlement construction: "Palestinians see settlers and settlements in their midst not only as violating the spirit of the Oslo process, but also as an application of force in the form of Israel's overwhelming military superiority, which sustains and protects the settlements. The Oslo Interim Agreement provides that "the two parties view the West Bank and Gaza as a single territorial unit, the integrity and status of which will be preserved during the interim period."
