I am thinking of buying this stove but first I want to now if there is a strong wood smoke smell coming from the stove. I have  asthma and want to know if you smell the wood burning through it. Many stoves are very tightly sealed and I was told that the smoke does not leak out

It is installed to code. The black matt on the floor is micore. 18" deep !

Not up to code and safe .you need way more brick in front of that stove for protection

My house is about 23-2400 sq ft, and it really does a great job. Even below 30 if you keep it blazing and don't let the inside temp drop too much, it will keep it toasty. For next year I want to either look into a blower or quiet fan.

I shut mine down for spring and summer a couple of weeks ago. I kept it going for 3 months straight, works nice. I do have the blower in mine and I also placed a small fan on the facing the side on the stove. My house is 2800 sq ft.The Stove pretty much heats the entire house as long as the temperature outside stays above 30 degrees, anything colder my heater kicks on periodically.

I have the same stove, same color. We started it up a week ago and have not let it go out since... It's the best investment ever, the heat is so comfortable. We never open the fron door, always use the side. Stove ash bin needs to be cleaned about every 3 days...and stove actually works better afterwords. Any tips or things you have seen...????
