Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has said that Palestine will no longer be bound by the Oslo Accords given that Israel has continually violated the peace agreement in every conceivable way. On the face of it, this was the bombshell he had promised and which many commentators had doubted that he would deliver. But we’ll be asking if he’s really serious about cancelling the Oslo Accords or if he’s – once again – using threats as a means to pressure Israel back to the negotiating table.
