I'd be way to afraid to load my stove that much. What if it burns out of control?? Just 3 pieces of wood is almost to much for my small stove. I end up with flames going up the pipe and that scares the crap out of me.

I'm sure the best instruction is on woodprix website.

can you run jotul stoves thru fireplaces
-
Weathernut27 has a valid point. The manual says 2-3 pieces. The stove top should be between 400-600, but I monitor the stack temp as well...I keep it under 500 always.
The air flow can control the temp and burn well....jotul makes an awesome stove. -
I love the dancing flames of orange and blue when the stove is burning just so, as at the end of the video. Ahhhhh. But a question, why do you use such short logs when the stove can handle up to 24 inch logs?

Why are we not supposed to open the ash pan door to start the fire?
-
That is such a nice looking stove.

There are two set screws one on each side under the top plate .. small ones ... good luck ..

Excellent video. Thanks for the upload. I'm actually suprised we can load the stove that much. Question:: Do different stoves matter as far as how much to fill up the box inside? Doesnt more wood equal higher stove temperature? I'm scared to load my stove lie that because my gauge says 600 degrees with it half full.
