I see them all line up at the Chemist hanging to get their Methadone like hawks. Who pays for it??? Fuck em all. No gaol or clinics just ship em all off somewhere isolated. Watch how many will think twice about using again. It's way to easy for them - giving them another addictive poison.

damn that couple from Norway didn't even bother to try hitting a vein, they shot that shit straight in the muscle. that's how you get abscesses and all kinds of other problems

It is not H who kills, and destroys families, communities, and dreams, but the War On Drugs and on we who share our lives with them. It is the policy and bigotry which forces us underground and into shame, into the criminal class, disease, and homelessness; it is being forced to deny ourselves, rejected, and abandoned, by families who are blinded by the horrors we are made out to be, it is being neglected in treatment for AIDS and Hep. C, it is being denied proper chemical education including how to shoot up & get high safely, it is being forced by well-meaning and hateful parties alike into the hell of forced 'rehabilitation' (medical torture!), prison, and into that most fatal of all self-hate. My orientation is NOT a crime or a deviancy. You who do not understand, do not judge; you who are 'cured', do not impose your mistakes and new morality on us, who are happy and successful with our chemical partner. Remember what the world has said of all 'pathological hedonias', of all of we who are queer in our inborn pleasure preferrences; forget not that we are part of The Rainbow, and that our gay and other comrades only so recently emerged into societal recognition by the straight world. Remember our world before the Harrison Narcotics Act, which is the dawn of one of the worst human rights abuse-campaigns in history! Remember Dr. W. S. Halsted, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and myself, a poet, musician, logician, philologist, philosopher, polymath; behold all we who live and work with our chemical lovers at our side!!! Join me in calling for liberty now!!!-Philoreia R.-F.F.

I pray to God for these people. God please help them, help them get off it,have normal lives... I'm not even religious, but no one deserves this. No one fucking deserves to spend their life this way... These are young people, they are barely functional. What pain drove these people to this? This can't be a coincidence - these people have experienced some kind of depression... God help them.

binkley007 u r an asshole who has no clue what u r talking about. what about their families who have to watch them decline, medical staff who help them .u know nothing!!

Yep. Their lives are completely centered around finding heroin, to where they can't do anything else. So what if we just gave them heroin, then help them quit if they eventually want to? Then their lives could be centered around anything else. Oh, no, but we can't do that. That would be morally wrong, even if it is a significant advantage to society and the individual. No, no, no. We must uphold our quasi-morality to the detriment of all. Studies and experiments have shown that when heroin is provided to addicts, they can contribute to society. This reduces crime, adds more to the workforce, and reduces disease like HIV or Hep C. But no. We couldn't possibly.
The only reason it ruined his life is because of the super low quality heroin on the street, and the daily grind to find money to get some more. He would have a significantly better life if the heroin was provided to him. He would no longer have to spend all his time stealing or doing god knows what for cash--he could contribute to society. -
At the beginning the narrator exclaims, he had been experimenting for years, but then he caught a habit. Correction, he caught a habit the first time he experienced that pseudo-euphoria.

There are plenty worse ways to die than an OD. I respect these people for choosing that thing that makes them happy.

This is pretty fucking sad 2 watch ... Norway is one of the richest countries in the world but even here you can find heroin zombies.
-
The saddest thing is so many addicts have people who truly love them - their hearts are breaking watching their loved ones self destruct.
