No newly employed person would earn close to $1 000 000 ($500k post-taxes + living costs) a year in the Norwegian oil business by "knowing offshore drilling", regardless of profession. That would be a highly special case anyway.

He has his own travel company that prints and sells tourbooks, back packs, DVDs and suitcases. Also, it organizes group tours in Europe. He also had a TV show, though I do not know is it still aired.

@princessivoryrose not that simple I'm afraid. I do not wish upon anyone to have to deal with Norwegian immigration authorities UDI. Of course, you might actually be in your right to get a permit, but you should study the laws well and talk to people who have done the same kind of application.
