I was 2 years older than Falcon when we competed in high school. While he never beat me he was the only runner that I ever heard closing in on me at the finish of the mile in my last 2 years. Chris Zinn who became his teammate at Arkansas was a more formible runner then and through his high school career but was a slow as molasses if you could stay in striking distance. However Falcon had that remarkable speed that you knew would ultimately enable him to become a tremendous middle distance runner. Sad that his career was so short but sounds like he enjoys his next stage in life.

I ran against him in a couple of road races in Missouri. He was the fastest runner i ever run against. Very strong with a incredible stride. I ran the first mile in 4.41 in a half marathon and he was so far ahead of me he was making a turn two blocks up the road. My guess his first mile was 4.20.
