what kind of filter are u using? grey filter? polar?

The cafe's staff might of been miserable, but it's still rude to not only film someone without their consent, but also make a screenshot of their face even after they asked you not to film them.

Great tips on getting about Oslo on the dime. I am going there Aug 24 for 2 days/one night and will definitely watch my wallet!

whats that filter on your camera?

Good show guys. Pretty cool to go to Oslo like that off the cuff. See when you're working for a company 50 hours a week you can't do these types of things. I enjoyed the Viking museum. As far as the first guy is concerned you just have to realize some people don't like a camera in their midst. They maybe OK, but some people are private.

i think you could have got the free day pass for the tram transport for tourist that they give out at the train station

beggers come to Norway in the warmer months from East europe, and go back, during the winter as its too cold to be out.

In Trondheim, Norway there is a cathedral. The Nidarosdome. Largest church in northern Europe!

What a wonderful trip down memory lane!! Love Oslo! its such a beautiful, elegant city. If you guys go back, plan on spending half a day at the Folk Museum because its huge! theres a bus that could have taken you there instead of walking for an hour, we stayed in Bygdoy so we were within walking distance of all those cool places to visit. Yes, it does feel like you're the only people around on that island! so many gorgeous homes there too. Lovely video, gorgeous couple! thanks for sharing :)

What month did you go here?

How could the old lady know your not Norwegian

The beggars are Romanian and Bulgarian scum. And begging is just a charade to hide the fact they've come to steal pretty much anything they can get their hands on.

I love watching your videos ;)

He was probably annoyed as you didn't ask for permission to shoot, as the law says you have to in Norway.
Double glazing is the norm here, thankfully. I almost froze my butt of when I was living in the UK. ;-)
And you managed to get the name of Bassarhallen incorrect. :-P
I prefer Oslo during summer than during winter, to be honest. I find it so much more beautiful and lush when in summer.
Deli de Luca isn't exactly the cheapest place to get lunch. ;-)
Aker Brygge is one of the most expensive areas of Oslo.
How come you didn't catch one of the local busses to Bygdøy?
And a pity you didn't go to see the folk museum while you were in Bygdøy? -
I wish someone would tell tourists that Oslo is one of the least interesting places to visit in Norway. I completely understand that a capital city is commonly considered a safe pick of destination for a tourist who's visiting a country they know little about, but I just think it's a shame that many tourists "waste" their only trip to Norway on visiting what is, in my opinion, the least exciting capital city in Europe - especially, considering that there are locations in Norway that are not only immeasurably more interesting to experience, but also more distinctly unique to the country. I know I would rather experience majestic fjords that looks like they've been taken straight out of a Lord of the Rings movie, as opposed to a stale capital city that is clearly sub-par to European standards as a tourist destination. If old, Scandinavian architecture is what you're looking for, Bergen, Kristiansand and Stavanger, to mention a few, are all more relevant places to visit.
Also, please don't mention any American-sponsored, guided tours. Their destinations are spot on, but they'll have you think that Norwegians are still kind of stuck in the late 1800s. They basically just exaggerate the cultural wealth, and it's influence on modern society in Norway - it's comparable to how a few (emphasis on few) Americans still believe Englishmen still wear top hats, frequently drink tea from fancy porcelain cups, and use horse wagons as their primary means of transportation :P

In this vlog we do a full day of exploring the city of Oslo by foot. We start off at City Box Hotel and head to StockFleth's Cafe for breakfast where we meet a very miserable Barista. Despite the bad start to the morning we head to Oslo Central Station to buy some picnic lunch for later, see some Scandinavian seagulls and then walk to the Oslo Opera House to take some photos. Afterwards we go to the Baserene Arches and the Oslo Cathedral to hear the Organ being tuned. The next step on our journey saw us walking past the Oslo University, we hear some Jazzy tunes while walking to the National Theater and then onward to the royal Palace to hug some trees and have a little picnic. Then things get a little 'wild' as we take on The Harbour Promenade walk all the way to the Viking museum via the trendy Aker Brygge. We see some really cool ancient boats and tools before coming back to town for a delicious coffee at a Kafe in town. At the end of it all our feet were saw but we got to experience some really cool things to do in Oslo :-) If our videos or blog have helped you in any way and you want to 'say thanks'.
